RECENTLY someone at work mentioned they were attending a school reunion so I thought it would be a good idea to organise my school reunion. The joys of Facebook have made this easier but not everyone is comfortable with social media and accessible this way. Hopefully a number of you will read this and attend an enjoyable evening.
If you started Sheldon School in September 1984 and left in July 1989 then the reunion is for you and being held at the Chippenham Sports Club on Friday, September 9 from 8pm. The evening is for people who come under this criteria only. We started with Mrs Hillier as our head of year and when we left Mr Weller had taken over.
About 50–60 have committed to the evening so far. Tickets are priced at £10 which includes your admission and buffet food on the night.
On the night we will be collecting for Cancer Research as this has probably touched us all in one way or another, Anthony May, Midget being one and possibly others. All monies left over from ticket sales will also go to this worthwhile cause.
A Facebook page has been created called Sheldon Reunion (Sept 84 – July 89) where you can view people’s comments and various pictures they have added.
