FOLLOWING your article, ‘Hundreds attend debate on the EU’, I was there amongst an audience of a wide range of ages. Contrary to what was reported, it seemed that a lot less than 60 per cent were initially undecided and, at the end, certainly a lot less than 30 per cent were still so.

Towards the end of the debate, Mrs Perry invited members of the audience to give brief comments and, almost to a man, the comments were for ‘out’ including from the younger generation. Needless to say, Jacob Rees-Mogg got a lot of support. There is no question that the majority were for ‘out’ and it is a pity that your journalist did not emphasise this.

Laura Sandys, who spoke for the ‘remain’ side, is chairman of the European Movement (heavily funded at its inception by the USA).

She dismissed mass immigration as irrelevant and is therefore happy for the indigenous population to be diluted to the point where the nation no longer exists. This is deliberate policy coming down from the United Nations to destroy all nations and form world government.

Along with this is a proposal to set up a global parliament of mayors, an advisory member of which is Ken Livingstone. This insidious and sinister project is yet another attempt to divide and rule with democracy as we know it being thrown out of the window.

George Osborne is clearly supportive of this project as he is determined to impose mayors on places which don’t want them by threats of withholding funds unless mayors are elected. Mr Osborne should concentrate on his job of looking after the books of the UK and stop interfering in areas he has no business to be in. However, his common purpose training would suggest otherwise.

Our right to self determination is our birthright. I imagine that some in the audience were old enough to remember the last war. I would ask others whose parents or grandparents took part in that war what they think they fought for.

On my part, they fought to retain our freedoms from any outside interference and continue with self-rule as we did have until that arch traitor, Edward Heath took us into what is now becoming the EUSSR.
