Staff parking angst I WAS admitted to the RUH following a push bike accident on December 20, 2015. I received the most wonderful, professional care in all departments and was able to be discharged, following a hip replacement, on December 24, 2015.

However, I was incensed to realise that those same staff were paying car park charges on a percentage basis taken out of their wages. They are even fined if they cannot find an allocated space.

I have always been against visitors having to pay, but would be willing to pay more if the staff were treated properly and not having to pay.

Do the people who make these decisions earn a high wage?

I will be sending a copy of this letter to the Prime Minster, the Health Minister, local MPs plus various media outlets.
