JAMES Gray’s column headed ‘Freedom to talk nonsense is part of our democracy’ in the Gazette & Herald last week was a disturbing insight into the mind of a man who claims his tenuous commitment to ‘the military’ while making his once a year visit to some church services. His spiteful critique of a minister of religion committed to preaching the Gospel shows that he does not recognise the difference between truth and what he describes as ‘party political points’. James Gray is renowned for vilifying those whom he perceives as disagreeing with his own ill-informed views. Are the freedoms enjoyed by the electors of North Wiltshire really safe in his hands?
