LAST Monday it was reported in the Telegraph that our illustrious Member of Parliament, James Gray, is of the opinion that “MP’s should do less work for constituents”.

I completely disagree with James Gray on this for three reasons: 1. As a member of parliament you are a foot soldier for your constituents and you need to listen to them.

2. By undertaking casework you learn first hand (or should), what affects them and how policy needs to change to benefit them.

3. You may be able to do some good for those who need it.

I’m pleased to say that of the people who filled in the Telegraph’s online form, 264 voters, that 77 per cent of those who voted, agreed with me.

Maybe James it is all getting too much for you? If so, do the decent thing and resign!

I would have great pleasure fighting in a by-election to win and offer the good people of North Wiltshire a Liberal Democrat MP that will stand up for them and fight their corner.
