We were blessed with the most perfect weather for this year’s Roundway Rampage, the cross-country race organised by Devizes Running Club, which enabled many runners from around the county to view the most spectacular views of our beautiful countryside.

So this is firstly to thank all those who supported the event through their participation, including this year for the first time almost 40 junior runners in the Mini Rampage.

Thanks also must of course go out to to all those who volunteered their services, whilst giving up their Saturday morning, to ensure that the event took place efficiently, safely and with the maximum enjoyment for those who took part.

We’ve received many wonderful comments about the marshals who encouraged the runners and for the scrumptious array of home-made cakes available afterwards.

We would also particularly like to express our gratitude to the local organisations who kindly donated spot prizes, all very well received by the lucky winners.

A big shout out therefore to PushActive, Wadworth Brewery, Wiltshire Museum, Devizes Leisure Centre, Garbanzo’s and Cadence Events.

Our next race will be our 10k Road Race in March 2016. If any more local businesses would like to promote their name to hundreds of running-mad people, adults and children, I’d be delighted to have a chat.
