I would like to thank the following people for their support following the Macmillan coffee morning on Friday – Elaine Preston at the West End Club in Audley Road, Chippenham for allowing the lounge bar to be used free of charge and advertising and ensuring many cakes were donated by friends of the club; Jim Hall for donating braces of partridge as a raffle prize; Dorrian Carrington for donating a photographic shoot; Radia at Cafe India for donating a meal for two at Cafe India, Chippenham; the Mayor and Mayoress David and Jill Powell for their support and attendance; Coun Teresa Hutton for baking the most mouthwatering lemon drizzle cake and cup cakes; Coun Nina Philips for her support, Marge Kick for baking the delicious cake and flapjacks, and Diana Cole and Sue Gough for their invaluable help and support. Also thanks to the members of the community who came along including members if the Friday Club and Pastor Una Davis from Trowbridge. I am delighted to announce that we have raised more than £300 that will go towards helping the fight against cancer.
