Although on a number of occasions I have complained at your branch office in Devizes regarding the amount of litter in the Brittox, New Park Street, Market Place and other major roads in Devizes, nothing has been done to cleanse these areas.

I have also complained regarding the weeds growing between footpaths and the base of buildings in the numerous alleys in Devizes. A very visible example of this is in the alleyway between the side of the Majestic Wine Store and the West Central car park.

Devizes is probably the most attractive and interesting town in Wiltshire and deserves to be maintained to a high standard. At the moment the condition of its pavements and the littered areas are a disgrace and give the appearance of a third world town. What tourists must think, I hate to imagine.

May I suggest that you visit Devizes and examine the areas I have referred to and form your own conclusion.

Your prompt attention to these matters would be much appreciated.
