Further to the article in the Gazette & Herald a week last Thursday, I would like to say that the skate park is a very well used facility and people come from far and wide to use the park.

Yes, there are some who come in vehicles as not everyone lives close to the park. It attracts a wide range of people of all ages.

My concern is that there is no toilet facility at the park. It’s not only male skaters but lots of female skaters who also use the park. (One can only guess where relief is sought, not at all dignified.) Being that a good number of the skaters spend most of the day there I feel this was a great lack of vision for the development, even more so with the BMX track coming soon.

Some benches for the onlookers would also have been a good idea. Perhaps Mr Wooldridge could present this need to be addressed at the council planning.

It’s a great park, well used and there have been no other problems that I am aware of other than some inconsiderate parking issues in the lane. Surely there must be a solution to make some parking available. The park was long awaited in Devizes, then we find only half a job gets done.
