I had a bad health diagnosis in April and thought I might get some peace and clarity of thought, so on the Sunday morning of April 19 I set off to Avebury and arrived at 8am, with not one car in the car park.
So off I went for a walk around the stone circle. It was so peaceful and there was just one woman jogger.
When I arrived back at the car park there was a little white car with a man sitting in it. I didn’t really think much of it and just drove away. I tried to wind my window down but it wouldn’t work. When I got home my bag wasn’t in the car and I searched the house with a feeling of dread.
I’m one of those women that carry everything in my bag. I have to assume the man and woman were working together; he must have a tool that can open car doors.
They got quite a nice stash from me before I had even got home. He had gone to Marlborough and withdrawn money from two cash machines. I have never wished ill will on anyone in my 58 years, but I hope they get what they deserve.
