If next week some of the more energetic readers meet six young men striding along the Thames Path towards Thames Head might they wish them well?
They will probably be The Class of ‘96 who came together in the sixth form and have remained close friends ever since even through university courses, stag nights and family commitments.
The hairlines might be receding and fitness levels might not what they were when they played soccer all those years ago but for these doctors, estate agents and civil servants the friendship remains the same. Well done, Malmesbury School!
Ably led by Adam White the aim of the 50-mile walk (over two days I hasten to add) is to raise awareness, and also funds, for a non-profit organisation called Fill That Gap which attempts to make qualified healthcare available wherever and whenever it might be needed.
Check out the website; you might be tempted to donate to such a well-run and worthy team.
