I HAVE just read that the train from Bedwyn to London Paddington from 2017 will no longer be a through train. Passengers will have to change at Newbury. What about the old and the disabled?

The station is not fit for purpose for them. What about the daily commuters?

Their journey times will be extended and they will have little chance of getting a seat from Newbury (that they have paid for). What about the extra traffic on our roads? People travelling to Newbury to get a through train? People who travel into London by car (because travelling from Bedwyn is not direct)?

I am utterly disgusted that after all that was said that we are going to be treated as second class citizens with a second class train service.
