When Blue Circle Cement moved to Westbury 1,000 jobs were offered to make it tempting to the public. At the time of its closing the whole operational plant employed just nine.
That is the reality and who is to say with advances in technology and outsourcing of staff to agencies, Chippenham will benefit from The Range?
In terms of what you lose, certainly the daily view travelling up the A350 will be different. There will be more traffic and a huge building three storeys high instead of trees, fields and open countryside. If that is what you want, that is what you will get.
I was surprised that not one estate agent answered the points I raised regarding advanced knowledge of sales of properties within sight of what is being proposed.
