Although I live in close proximity to the proposed The Range development and despite the controversy, I went to the exhibition on Friday with an open mind and a keen interest to find out what this ambitious development would look like.

I was extremely disappointed to find no detailed model or any clear and transparent information.

There were only a few pictures displaying the back of the development from across the fields, obviously its best vantage point. It did not show where the entrance would be, how close it is to be sited to Cepen Park North and Allington village and the visual impact this gargantuan building would have when entering Chippenham.

Myself and those I spoke to felt misled. How can one decide one’s stance on an application when you are not given a true picture?
