I am so proud to live in Marlborough. I am sure I speak on behalf everyone who was in the Town Hall on Christmas Day. We all had a great three-course Christmas lunch which was excellent and served hot and very professionally.

There was lovely atmosphere with a lots of helpers and visitors.

Everyone was given presents to take home in two bags and to top it all we all had £10 note in a small envelope with a raffle ticket attached. Two guests each won £100!

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart Nigel Kerton and his family and all his many helpers for giving up their Christmas Day.

My Christmas Day was solemn to begin with, but after my two sons went to the cemetery earlier with flowers and when I arrived at the Town Hall my grief was soon dispelled.

I know where I shall be next year, on Christmas Day, back, once again, at the Town Hall in Marlborough with lots of wonderful people.

A very healthy and happy new year.
