Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) estimates that there are around 3,200 cases of bacterial meningitis and septicaemia every year in the UK.

They are easily mistaken for milder illnesses, can kill within 24 hours and may cause serious, life-long disabilities. As many as one in ten of those affected will die and a third of survivors will be left with after-effects, some as serious as brain damage, amputations, blindness and hearing loss. More UK children under the age of five die from meningitis than any other infectious disease.

Meningitis Research Foundation has charity places available for Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, March 1, which is now sold out to the public. One of the most popular city centre running events in the UK, Bath Half Marathon starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street. The event has a great reputation for its wonderful atmosphere, fast flat course and fantastic location.

Sign up and we will supply you with your own running and sponsorship pack to help you on your way, and your own running vest for race day.
