The Chippenham Lions had another successful fundraising champaign this Christmas with their carol float and other activities. Throughout December the club visited 16 local catchment areas, collected at two superstores and sold mulled wine at the Corsham lights switch-on. Through these initiatives they were able to raise a total of about £10,500, despite some very wet evenings. As well as helping individuals in need, these funds will go to a number of causes, including a disabled games day, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and an outing for the Chippenham PHAB club.
All in all, a very rewarding experience not just for raising the funds, but also to see that the magic still works with the kiddies lined up to greet Santa.
The club would like to thank the people of Corsham and Chippenham for their generosity.
