Last week’s Gazette & Herald Letters to the Editor (December 4), was a blitz of public concern and anger over planning consent given to building outside of town ‘limits of development’, ‘unsympathetic development’, to ‘new proposed development’ (in the case of Birds Marsh Wood development), to an excellent letter from Steve Hulbert about the old sorting office development.
In each case the public voice seems to have been ignored as various schemes are given the go-ahead, in their town or village, changing their way of life. This, in a democracy, seems wrong. I would like to hear what Prospective Conservative candidate for Chippenham, Michelle Donelan, has to say on this, because people and our
glorious countryside do matter.
David Harvey,
