The Christmas lights are shining and the run-up to the great day has really arrived. In our area local organisation in towns and villages have joined together bringing joy to many, and last Saturday in Trowbridge was no exception.
Now in the season of Advent the wonderful news of the coming of Jesus is being proclaimed in our churches and it is so good to remember in all our planning and preparations the true message of Christmas.
“And man, at war with man, hears not the love-song which they bring. O hush the noise ye men of strife and hear the angels sing.” We know that at the present time there are still so many suffering. Joining in the words from that well-loved carol we pray that we too will hear the message of the angels, that the babe born in the manger at Bethlehem came to be our Saviour, and that there may indeed be peace in the world in the coming year.
