What is one of the most challenging tasks facing the young in Wiltshire today? The answer is the ability to get on to the property ladder. This is why I welcomed the new figures showing that the Conservatives’ Help to Buy scheme is helping young people and families to achieve their dream of buying their own home.
One hundred and eighty-five people have been able to access an affordable mortgage and get on to the housing ladder in the Chippenham constituency from the Help to Buy scheme. Now buying a home is not a long-sited dream but a possibility.
I have just bought my first home in Chippenham and I know hard it can be to get onto the ladder.
