HMS Bulwark, Albion & Centaur Association are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the disaster of HMS Bulwark which blew up and sank in 1914.

Members and guests will attend three commemorations on the last weekend in November. Planning has been ongoing for many months and now most of the itinerary has been confirmed.

On Saturday, November 29, some members and invited guests will travel from Sheerness Docks and a commemoration service will be held at the wreck in the morning.

In the afternoon a parade will form at the Woodlands Cemetery in Gillingham and march to the RN mass grave.

The parade will be led by the Band of the RM, Portsmouth. After the service the parade will re-form and march back to the main cemetery gates.

A commemoration dinner will be held in the King Charles Hotel, Gillingham, in the evening.

The third anniversary service will be held at St George’s Centre, Chatham, on Sunday, November 30, from 10.30am.
