Do the people of Devizes know how lucky we all are, having those lovely big parking spaces for the tourist buses in New Park Street?
Has anyone seen a tourist bus parked in one of these spaces? Was any consideration given to local residents when the 15 or so spaces were taken away from people who live and work in the town and spend money in local shops?
On another point, it’s good to see that someone has had enough confidence in our town to spend a great deal of money on the restoration of the Moonrakers public house. What a splendid job they are making of the outside and I feel sure the inside will be equally as good.
And regarding the letter in last week’s paper, it’s a shame that you can’t please all of the people all of the time. Some will always find fault with progress.
