As a resident of Monkton Park I am very pleased that the resurfacing work is finally going to happen, especially as I have been party to a near accident when trying to avoid this badly damaged road.

These potholes have been constantly patched and repatched over recent months/years. The reduction of the ‘bulge’ which should never have been put in at the top of Station Hill, whilst being a waste of tax payers’ money, is also great news.

Whilst looking at this area of road, isn’t it now time to cut down the tree in the middle of the road? The roots are sprawling under the road and the brickwork around it has also fallen into disrepair.

However, I do hope that consideration has been given to the contracting works at Chippenham College over the coming year and that we will not have to put up with digging up of this newly laid road to assist this construction.
