Great to see that children at the Hilmarton Pre-school are being given days out in the woods to explore and play. This should be a pre-requisite for pupils in all primary schools.
How depressing though to see that they are clad in high-viz jackets which are surely completely unnecessary and degrading.
I do not believe that these are a health and safety requirement and I don’t believe that children in some other European countries who already have days out in the woods are forced to wear them.
This is really a result of paranoia which is endemic in this country.
