We all seem to have stopped writing blogs

But was anyone reading them? Links make no sense any more as they're bunged over to the right, and all old links have disappeared. I'm not as miffed as I might sound, just curious. Most of the time I wasn't that worried if no-one did read them - although I was pleased when people did - writing can be very cathartic. Especially when it's an "and another bloody thing" style rant.

Good responses by the residents there. Hats off to them.

Hang Ross and Brand! FFS ... it's not as if they killed anyone. And what a witch-hunt. Even the bloke who calls himself the country's leader is havign a pop. Pathetic.

That's what I'd like to hang from the lamp-posts along Rotherstone and Avon Terrace. And in each one, place the body of a driver who races down there whilst chatting on their mobile. That's after I, a few other concerned residents and a length of 2 by 4 have pointed out the error of their ways.

A real 1970s injury

I cut myself whilst opening a tin of corned beef yesterday morning. Old fashioned one - with a key. Could I have had a more retro-wound without snagging myself on a Ronco Buttoneer? Thinking about it, I can't remember the last time that I heard of anyone 'getting caught' in a ip. Does it happen any more?

But my reactions let me down. I was driving past the cemetery just before 20:00 yesterday when one of our charming street-drinking druggy pals cam cycling towards me. He (I prefer the term 'it' but I've been advised that these people are human too) had no lights on. He was wearing a camouflage jacket.

That doesn't always include the good people at Stagecoach busses.

It's still early, I'm at my desk but I've had contrasting experiences already today. And I'm in a bad mood.

Mandy and I went to her cousin's wedding reception at the Angel in Chippenham on Friday. The do itself was great. And they had a Real Ale on - St Austell 'Tribute'. But £3.55 a pint! That's outrageous.

What's going on here?

I have a look at the G&H site and it's all changed. Do they let us know beforehand? Do they bunnies! I'm not expecting special treatment as a regular (and unpaid) contributor, but a note wrapped around a bottle of Bruichladdich or 1989 St Emilion would have been nice.
