Toast treatment for X Factor judges

Thousands of X Factor hopefuls are already toast - but now Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have been given the same treatment.

A food artist has used toasted bread to create portraits of the judges' faces.

His images of Cowell, Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have been created with slices of bread, a blowtorch and a knife.

Lennie Payne, from Rainham, Essex, has been working with toast for 10 years.

He created the portraits for Warburtons for its advertising campaign to be broadcast on the X Factor.

A spokesman for Warburtons said: "The X Factor is such a hit with millions of fans across the UK and the perfect platform to launch our new ad. We hope the judges are pleased with being preserved on toast forever."
