Chippenham youths humbled
Under 9's Division One:
Westbury Youth Lions were 3-0 winners away at Chippenham Town Youth White.
Both sides played well in difficult windy conditions. Westbury took the lead when Alex Harrison's shot took a deflection to beat the keeper in the first half. Reece Mitten's pass put Ben Starr through with just the keeper to beat to make it 2-0 after the break. Starr then got his second with a well struck left foot shot from outside the penalty area giving Westbury the win.
Frankie Vaz scored late in the first half to put FC Chippenham in the lead against Trowbridge Wanderers. Wanderers equalised late into injury time from an own goal. Five minutes into the second half Callum Gunner regained the lead for Chippenham with a solo run down the right wing drilling the ball into the bottom corner, taking his tally to five goals in four games. Jordan Young made it 3 - 1 to the home side half way through the second half with a free kick just outside the penalty area which he curled into the top corner, taking his tally to four goals in two games.
Trowbridge Town Youth and Warminster Highbury ground out a 1-1 draw with Dominic Allen scoring for Trowbridge.
Under 9's Division Two
An excellent game started with Melksham Park's George Hiscock grazing the wrong side of Larkhall Athletic's goal post. Larkhall then put pressure on Park but to no avail and Park again applied severe attacks with Jamie Philips and Nathan Trueman unlucky not to have scored off some excellent corners by Tommy Ireland. The second half was identical to the first with Sam Robinson hitting the side netting and Thomas Mack doing great work on the wing but all to no avail due to the great defending of Larkhall giving them a well deserved point.
Devizes Town Youth took the lead in their home game against Melksham Town Youth Saints but a defiant Saints battled on and were back level at the break. Devizes dug deep in the second half scoring two more to finish 3-1 winners. Jamie Walters (2) and Noah Cannon scored for Devizes.

Under 9's Division Four
Melksham Park suffered their fourth defeat in a row but gave a much better team performance against Bradford who played well. Park changed their formation moving Liam Reed to midfield and dropping Harry Church in to defence and it worked well. Bradford started well and after ten minutes scored despite great work from Harry Church and Jay Athay in defence and some outstanding saves from Steven Brenchley. Just before half time Bradford scored again from a rebound off another double save from Brenchley. The second half mirrored the first with some good saves from the Bradford keeper. Park saw good work from Liam Reed and Jordan Early in midfield leading to a cracking shot from Charlie Dodge but the ball just wasn't going in. To compound Park's bad fortune, a rare break from Bradford resulted in their third goal, final score 0-3. Park awarded man of the match honour to Harry Church.
Home side Mere Town Youth and Trowbridge Town Youth played out a fair and sporting game with Mere taking a 2-0 lead before the interval. The second half was more even with both sides scoring to leave the final score at 3-1 to Mere. Jack Tucker (2) and William Thorpe scored for Mere.

An entertaining game between Larkhall Athletic and Melksham Town Youth Magpies produced some excellent passing moves. A well worked goal by Shaun Bailey gave the Magpies a half time lead and soon into the second half a well placed shot by Euan McCaughan after good work by Alex Wilkes put Magpies 2-0 up. Rathin Scott scored for Larkhall making for a tense run in to the final whistle but the Magpies held out for the three points.
Chippenham Town Youth were in fine form and were looking to continue their unbeaten run taking firm control of the game against Trowbridge Town Youth E showing a mature and controlled performance. Ben Berkley opened the scoring after a fine run a slipping the ball in the net. Trowbridge equalised from a free kick as Callum Norris sent a laser guided shot into the roof of the net giving them encouragement. Chippenham displayed some pure football with many elegant passing moves and deservedly re-took the lead again after a goal from Ben Berkley and went on finish the game 2-1.
Jacob Humphrey scored four goals for Westbury Youth Tigers as they ran out 9-0 winners against Bradford Town C. Despite not scoring it was Sam Cocks who really shone for Westbury. Ellie Osborne (2) and Alex Brimble (3) also scored for Westbury.
Under 10's Blue Division
Another stunning derby match between Melksham Town Youth Saints and Devizes Town Youth produced the second defeat for the Saints in eighteen months. The Saints started straight out of the blocks with some great ball work passing in triangles moving the visitor's team about, Niall Maidment and Liam Kennedy along with James Perrett worked their socks off to deny anything getting to Ollie Graham in the Devizes goal. The first goal of the match came from the unlikely visitors when a long throw by Kennedy was laid off by Perrett, Kennedy running on smashed the ball home from distance. Deservedly the home side pulled themselves back level after a deflection off Perrett's knee fell to the Melksham forward who buried home. Perrett was then involved again up the other end when in front of goal couldn't get his shot away.
The second half was dominated by the visitors and mainly played in the home sides half, Graham clinging to the ball on just a couple of occasions. Attacking pace and technical ability from wingers Luke Hamblen, Jamie Hall and Cullen Wylie proved the cutting edge as Devizes swamped the attack on the Melksham goal. A nervous display at the back and a ping pong session produced Devizes second game, after a corner was cleared Kennedy delightfully touched the ball sideways past one player then smashed the ball in the opposite corner of the goal. Great play by Wylie down the left flank sealed the game with ten minutes to go, a cross over found super sub Liam Hall whose pass back to Jamie Hall was inch perfect, Jamie Hall then found the back of the net via the bottom corner.

Under 11's Division One
An excellent display by Warminster Highbury saw them take a well deserved lead through Paul Wood against division leaders Trowbridge Town Youth and were unfortunate not to increase their lead in a first half which they dominated. The second half was a different game with Trowbridge piling on the pressure which was eventually rewarded twelve minutes from the end when Tom Green put through Aaron Cockerill who beat the Highbury right back and crossed the ball for Joe Blais to scramble the ball home at the near post. Trowbridge continued to look for the winner which again came from the left hand side when Liam Naylor crossed the ball into the box for Joe France to hit home from the edge of the six yard box with eight minutes to go.

The second half saw Melksham equalise through Elliott Fudge but Pearce grabbed his brace to end Melksham hopes of a result. Man of the match for Worton was Pearce for his two goals but the rest of the team also played very well to beat the new look Melksham team.
Under 11's Division Five

U12 Blue Division
In a game affected by the wind Trowbridge Town Youth ran out comfortable winners against home side Melksham Park. Oliver Nash scored the opener for Town but sloppy play let Melksham equalise through William Abrams. An individual goal from Asley Rendall made the score 2-1 to Trowbridge at the break. Further goals were scored in the second half by Tom Doveton and a second by Oliver Nash. Man of the match for Trowbridge was Elliot Self who was dominant in defence.
After a goalless first half with few chances, Chippenham Town came out of the blocks the quickest and Harry Myles opened the scoring with a shot from the right hand side which left the Devizes keeper no chance as the ball looped over his head into the far corner. Liam Sunderland scored a few minutes later with a shot that bounced back off the post, hit the keeper and rolled over the line. After that it was good end to end football but both defences proved to strong and no more goals were scored. Adam Gerrard had a one on one chance but the Devizes keeper stood up well to save the shot. Devizes had the better of the chances but thanks to yet another superb display of fine saves from Town keeper Mikey Wright Devizes could not find the back of the net.
Goals from Ryan Banks, Matthew Harris and Rory Davis gave home side Derry Hill United a 3-0 win against Melksham Town Youth Blue.
Under 12's Green Division

UNDER 12'S Red Division
FC Chippenham started the game very well scoring after only twenty-five seconds on the clock but this was to be their only bright moment of a match completely dominated by Chippenham Town Youth. The early goal against the home team did nothing more than fire them up and added a steely determination to their efforts. Dom Staples-Preston scored a hat-trick with one of them a contender for goal of the season with further goals from the impressive Callum Hussey and Rhys Cole and a brace from Harry Wells put the game beyond doubt.
Under 13's Blue Division
Amesbury Town march towards the league title continued with a convincing second half performance which blew away a strong Devizes side. The game opened in sensational style as Amesbury Town took the lead with a goal timed at just twenty-eight seconds. Harry Beckley ran through on the right side and fired in a powerful shot which the Devizes keeper dived to his right to palm the ball away. However Finn Drury followed up to put the rebound into an empty net. The visitors matched Amesbury Town for much of the remainder of the half in an even contest and deservedly snatched an equaliser just before the break when Rory Worthington scored from close range following a defensive mistake by the home side. Whatever manager Neil Hollinworth said at half time, it seemed to work as Amesbury Town came out for the second period with much more confidence. They had to wait until ten minutes into the second half before regaining the lead though Josh Wightman's strike from twenty yards on the left was a peach. From then on it was pretty much one way traffic as Amesbury Town upped the pace and began to plunder the Devizes defence throughout which led to a glut of goals coming at regular intervals. Beckley added the third in the forty-eighth minute and Chris Kelly tapped in to make it four just four minutes later. Beckley and Kelly then both grabbed their second goals as the visitors defence began to crumble. Kelly completed his hat trick with four minutes remaining leaving just enough time for Wightman to score his second in the final minute with a superb strike from twenty-five yards. Both strikers Drury and Beckley suffered injuries to add to Amesbury Town growing casualty list as next week's focus switches to cup action at Corsham against Trowbridge Town.
U13 Green Division

The goals came from Ashley Hargreaves (4), Jack Hayward (2), Kai Bingham and Luke Booth.
Trowbridge gained all three points with a very determined and gutsy performance against a strong Melksham team challenging for the title. They took the game to Melksham and were duly rewarded with goals from Jack Noden and Nick Josevski. All the Trowbridge players deserve praise for what can only be described as their best performance of the season. Melksham hit the crossbar from the penalty spot and often threatened, but the Trowbridge defence worked hard together and defended in numbers to thwart their attacks. The game was played in great spirit by both teams.

Despite a torrid season the Chippenham Town Youth players showed great resolve and determination and played very well against Pewsey Vale but with very windy conditions both teams struggled to find a rhythm in their play. Goals from Cameron Amore (2) Ross Campbell and goalkeeper Louis Chamberlain, who took full advantage of a gust of wind to sail the ball from his area into the net much to the delight of his team-mates ensured what looks like a comfortable win for Pewsey but in reality was a much closer game.

The league's top two teams provided an entertaining afternoon of football in a hard fought contest that was well referred by Mr Perkins. Castle Combe scored early in the first half through Sam Barrie and despite creating further chances failed to break down a strong Warminster Highbury defense again before half-time. Combe started brightly in the second-half and were rewarded for their positive approach play with two goals in the space of ten minutes the first from Adam Shipman then following a corner a looping header from Tom Stevens. Warminster never gave up and pulled a goal back before Shipman scored his second of the game with a superb free-kick from twenty yards. Zac Klukowski finished off an excellent afternoon's work for Castle Combe.
Marlborough went ahead against Castle Combe Colts 1 through tireless Ollie Camm who never stopped running. Combe equalized just before the break and with the benefit of a strong wind in the second half blew Marlborough away scoring four more goals.
