ONE TO WATCH - Marc McNulty

SCOTTISH striker Marc McNulty is rapidly turning out to be a shrewd acquisition for the Sky Blues following his close-season switch from Sheffield United.

The 25-year-old spent three seasons on the books at Bramall Lane, but found his opportunities restricted and moved to Coventry on a free transfer in May.

A series of injury setbacks meant he failed to hit the ground running at the Ricoh Arena but he has more than made up for an indifferent start over the past three months and is now the leading scorer with 12 in all competitions.

His goals have helped City remain firmly in the promotion picture and proved the difference in close recent matches against Cheltenham, Wycombe, Carlisle and Chesterfield.

McNulty’s previous spell in the fourth tier was also successful as he netted a dozen times for Portsmouth while on loan at the South Coast club in 2015-16.

AFTER helping Town collect three points on his debut last weekend, Ollie Banks will come up against a vastly-experienced campaigner at the heart of the midfield battle tomorrow.

Now in his second spell with Coventry, 36-year-old Michael Doyle has now passed the 300-appearance milestone for the Sky Blues.
