Farrant to play top rugby in Oz
DEVIZES prop Nick Farrant has struck gold by being handed the chance to play for a top grade rugby team in Australia this summer.
The 18-year-old Dorset and Wilts U20 star is set to jet out Queensland to play for the Noosa Dolphins.
And modest Farrant is a little worried about how he will fare in the rugged Aussie league.
He said: "I'm a bit worried about going there.
"It's going to be a higher level than Devizes because I think Noosa are the equivalent of a level five club.
"I'll be up against tougher and quicker opponents, especially as it's in Australia because they're all going to be ridiculously fit.
"I might be left lumbering behind if I'm not careful."
Farrant will play for Noosa for three months before returning to England to go to university.
His move came about after his dad Roy e-mailed Noosa , before a family friend based near the Australian club followed it up with a personal visit.
But despite his anxiety about the opponents he will face, Farrant is more worried about domestic chores.
He said: "It will be a personal achievement for me because I've never been away from home for months.
"How will I do my
washing?"
