BATH winger Jeff Williams has extended his contract at the Rec, following in the footsteps of fellow wide man Aled Brew, who did likewise earlier this week.

The extension sees the former England 7s winger staying with the club until the end of this season.

Williams is currently rehabilitating from a knee ligament injury sustained last season, but has scored seven tries in 20 appearances.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back on the pitch and doing what I can to help the second half of the season go the way we want.

"It’s been a long road back from my injury, and I’m really thankful to the club for supporting me through it, and to the physios and strength and conditioning coaches for getting me back to fitness.”

Director of rugby Todd Blackadder added: “Jeff is a fantastic character to have in the squad.

"He’s supported the squad in whatever way he can whilst he’s been injured, as well as helping out coaching some of the young Academy backs, and that positivity – as well as his ability on a rugby field that we’ll see soon – is a really useful asset to us.”
