SUTTON Benger took advantage of Calne's match against Combe Down 2nd being postponed as they edged Frome 2nd 16-11 in Dorset & Wilts Two North.

Benger took the lead with a 40-metre penalty in front of the posts, before skipper Callum Harford doubled Benger’s lead with a second penalty.

Frome then pulled back a penalty of the their own to make it 6-3 and both sides continued to be evenly matched throughout the first half.

In the second half Frome struck first, finishing a well-worked backs move.

Benger scored their third penalty, which was cancelled out by a Frome kick to make it 11-9 to the home side.

For the last 20 minutes Benger struggled to find a way through a well-drilled defence but with three minutes to go, George Dent put in a monstrous tackle causing the ball to be spilled over their own line where Dent dived on it, Harford adding the conversion.
