CALNE maintained their unbeaten start to the Dorset and Wilts Two North campaign with a 29-3 success at Cricklade.
After some scrappy early exchanges, Cricklade were awarded a penalty under the posts and the home side capitalised to go 3-0 up.
Calne their started to show their dominance at the scrum and good work by Alan Wicks at the back of the eight saw him grab an unconverted try before Chris McAlonan ran in on to give the visitors a 10-3 lead at the break.
After the interval, winger Jamie Palmer cut a fine line for Calne’s third try of the match after some good work from Adam Young and Liam Kearney.
Mark Webber went in for the bonus-point score for Calne before Masi Ifereimi added the fifth try.
Devizes 2nd suffered a 32-31 loss against leaders Sutton Benger despite four tries from Lewis Dodds.
Alfred’s Nomads also lost their unbeaten start to the season with a 29-10 defeat at Frome 2nd. The result was overshadowed by a serious hip injury to George Heard.
