DEVIZES Ladies kept up their pursuit of South West North Two leaders Westbury as they thrashed Bristol hosts Aretians 41-0.

In boggy conditions under foot, Emily Bain went in for the opening score, Denise Warbutton adding the conversion.

A text book tackle from Sian Stevens nudged the ball loose to be recovered by team captain Kate Stradling who passed straight to the on rushing Siobhan Spiers for her to dot down.

An Aretians spell of pressure came to nothing thanks to resolute Devizes defending and when the ball found its way out to left wing Sian Stephens, she went straight down the line for her debut try.

Candice Walters completed a fine break through the defence to sprint away and score a try under the posts, converted by Warbutton.

In the second half, Georgia Walker got herself on the scoreboard to continue her recent excellent scoring form before Stradling and Emily Pratt went on to add scores in the last five minutes.

Pippa Adamthwaite-Cook made her debut for the winners, who host Westbury in two weeks' time in what is likjely to be a title decider.
