DEVIZES Ladies clinched their third win over the South West Two North campaign despite a second-half comeback by their Bath visitors.

Facing a team of 12, Devizes lent their opponents some players but made a good start as a chip from fly-half Denise Warbutton caused havoc in the Bath defence and Warbutton herself touched down and converted.

The sustained pressure from Devizes was beginning to tell and Sam Snelgrove spotted a gap on the blind side to dive over for the second try.

The home side then stole Bath ball and a charge from Jo Storm was stopped on the line. From the resulting ruck the ball was recycled to Emma Matthews to dot down for her sixth try of the season.

Warbutton added a penalty for a 20-0 lead before Bath got on the board with an unconverted try.

Bath started the second half with more vigour and this paid off with their second try.

Devizes though came back with a try of their own through flanker Becky Townsend, who took the ball from the back of the ruck and muscled her way over.

Bath profited from some poor defending to go over for their third scored but Devizes saw the game out.
