Chippenham Under 14s with French club RC Thones Aravis
CHIPPENHAM hosted two junior teams from the French club RC Thones Aravis at the weekend and both the U14’s and U16’s played friendly matches on Sunday.
Chippenham’s U14’s put in an impressive display, winning 51-17, with hat-tricks for Alex Christopher and Will Brown.
Tom Lewis scored a brace and Tom Cowan scored the final try.
The U16 match was declared a draw at full time and a drop goal kick-off still couldn’t decide a winner.
Afterwards, the French club prepared a fantastic lunch of Tartiflette, the traditional dish of the Alpine region RC Thones Aravis come from.
