CALNE continued their impressive start to the new season as they beat Cricklade 45-22 at the Recreation Ground in Dorset & Wilts One North.
Cricklade scored the first try, however, Calne quickly responded with a try from Jeffrey Watkin.
For the next 10 minutes both packs competed to get the upper hand and it was Calne who soon established control.
Calne’s front row of Pete Brownlie, Dave Evans and captain Tom Morten put in yet another solid performance at the scrum and secured good ball for the backline to run riot with Bruce Harper (2), Rhys Taylor (2), Mike Smith (2) and Jeffrey Watkin (2) all crossing the whitewash.
The visitors did manage to break Calne’s defence four times themselves.
