MARLBOROUGH picked up another bonus point despite slipping to their second successive Southern Counties South defeat at Sherborne.

The visitors boasted the dominant front row of player-coach Chris Budgen, Adam Whatley and Darius Hamilton and their power led to a penalty try.

Moree Nailago continued his fine early-season form with an excellent performance playing in a variety of positions, including number eight and scrum-half after starting at fly-half, while Marlborough also welcomed back Billy Trevaskis after 18 months of travelling.

Marlborough welcome early-season pacesetters Dorset Dockers to The Common on Saturday, with a club day taking place.

The first team game will be followed by a juniors coaching session and then the England v Wales Rugby World Cup match.

The Alfreds Nomads also continued their great early start with an impressive 50-22 win over Devizes 3rd in Dorset & Wilts Three North.
