CHIPPENHAM U13’s enjoyed a memorable day in Cardiff, finishing off with an enthralling victory over Penarth RFC at the historic Cardiff Arms Park.
As the current Dorset & Wilts champions and Bristol Combination Cup winners, Chippenham played the current Cardiff Blues Cup winners, Penarth, who won their regional competition.
On Cardiff’s 4G pitch, Chippenham were first to score with a typical barnstorming run from Archie Stanley, followed by a 60m solo try from George Hannon.
Penarth scored two impressive tries before Tim Moon and Elliot Ayliffe scored for Chippenham.
Leading 20-17 at the break, Chippenham added scores from Tom Lewis, a brace from Will Brown and a final score from Ayliffe ahead of their Dorset & Wilts Cup final against Wimborne this weekend.
