MARLBOROUGH turned on the style to open up a 13-point gap at the top of the Dorset & Wilts One North table.

The 15-try performance helped Chris Budgen’s men take advantage of nearest rivals Combe Down’s inaction to stretch their lead at the summit.

There were four tries for George Heard and another hat-trick for Jonny Mantle.

Adam Whatley also weighed in with a brace of scores, while Jack Wright, Reece Kinnett, Waisale Navundukua, Avenai Cakaunitakua, Joe Mitchell and Liam Macdonald also crossed the whitewash.

Jack Wright enjoyed a successful day with the boot, landing 12 conversions as the visitors narrowly fell short of the century of points.

Pewsey opened the scoring with a penalty and added three late tries, one of which was converted.

Marlborough team boss Mike Banfield said: “The performance was (of) a very high level, which the team have shown all season and now they look to build for next season.’’

The club’s Alfreds Nomads enjoyed a 34-0 victory over Westbury 2nd in Dorset & Wilts Three North.
