MARLBOROUGH continued their pursuit of Dorset & Wilts One North leaders Combe Down with victory on the road.
The game was a scrappy affair with neither team able to get any phases of play going.
The visitors opened the scoring with a penalty by Nathan Morgan and before fly-half Russell Westcott went through a gap to score under the posts, Morgan converting.
Trowbridge responded with a try of their own, but Marlborough’s dominant scrum continued to pay dividends after half time.
Second row Jack Lynd made some good breaks and was involved in both second-half tries.
When tackled just short, hooker Adam Whatley was in support to score before, with 10 minutes to go, another run by Lynd led to him scoring after a 40 metre burst.
