DEVIZES fell away in the second half of their penultimate game of the South West One East season The first half was a fairly even affair, highlighted by the match being scoreless until the 39th minute.

The home side, who were after a home promotion play-off, were rewarded in the final stageswhen centre Dave Devlin-Jones went over for a score, converted by James Falvey.

Towcestrians, buoyed by that score, ran away with it in the second period, with two further tries with one from Devlin-Jones and one from Aaron Goodman, which Falvey both converted.

Devizes were outraged by an off-the-ball incident on tighthead prop Chris Lewis, which brought only a yellow card, but even with the home side temporarily reduced to 13 men, the visitors were unable to break though.

Two further tries followed, both converted by Falvey.

Devizes could still finished seventh with victory at Marlow this weekend.
