DESPITE losing a string of players to the first team both before and during this fixture, Minety seconds proved too strong for their Pewsey counterparts.

The visitors scored a try in each half, but were unable to contain their hosts’ exuberant running rugby.

Richard Brain ran in two tries on his debut for Minety, and their were touchdowns from skipper James Stuart, Dellam Murray, Gareth Snoad, Lee Patterson, Tim Vaughan, Milo Hartley and Morgan Lightbody.

Steve Murray kicked a penalty.

Lightbody was awarded Minety’s man of the match for the second time in succession for his outstanding forward play.
