RUGBY: Sutton Benger 31 Bath Saracens 0

SUTTON Benger went top of Dorset & Wilts Two North with another bonus-point home win.

Saracens were an improved outfit from their visit last season but Benger’s defence was impressive.

Man of the match Andy Bell opened the scoring in the opening five minutes after a break down the right wing.

Two more tries followed in the first half, Bell delivering a perfectly-timed pass inside to Jason Blackmore who beat his man and ran in under the posts for a try he converted.

Then tighthead prop Dave Major found space out wide to beat both Saracens’ winger and fly-half and win the race to the line.

Blackmore converted again and after half time, Dave Rea opened his account for the club by selling a dummy and crashing over, a try again converted by Blackmore.

A break from Matt Watchman provded the final score.
