Pewsey'sWoodborough Primary School won a convincing victory at the Tag rugby festival at Pewsey Vale school, organised by Kennet District Council.

Eastern Royal Primary School also celebrated winning the banner competition at the event, which was sponsored by Mercedes Benz Swindon.

Each team received an England rugby ball and team photo. Amanda Cox, leisure development officer at Kennet District Council, paid tribute to Pewsey Vale Rugby Club for the part their coaches have played in developing young local talent.

She said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Pewsey Vale Rugby Club.

“They sent coaches out into all the local schools and it’s really helped to boost the standard of our tournaments.
