Sheldon School football and netball festival
SHELDON School hosted the annual Chippenham schools’ netball and football
festivals on April 26.
All ten of the town’s schools were involved, with St Marys winning the
netball tournament and Monkton Park finishing runners-up.
Kings Lodge won the football tournament, with Monkton Park again finishing
second.
The events were organised by Sheldon School sports coordinator Selina
Porter, head of girls PE Jodie Baker and head of PE Adam Douglas.
Ms Porter said: “There was a high standard of play in both sports and
excellent sportsmanship shown between teams.
“A special thanks to Sheldon students for umpiring the netball and
refereeing the football.
“They were complimented by teachers and parents on their skills and
attitude.”
