SIDECAR RACING: Love-ly performance

MARLBOROUGH driver Roger Lovelock claimed a double victory at round 2 of the Eastern Airways British F1 Sidecar Championship at Thruxton.

The Driverwolf Racing ace, with passenger Rick Lawrence, earned 50 points for his triumphs, after taking pole position for the first race and claiming the win by 2.4 seconds.

The second race saw them triumph with something to spare, coming home six seconds ahead.

The duo lead the championship, with a 46 point advantage, with racing resuming at Snetterton on May 25-27.
