NELL: Douglas boost helps us see off Phantoms

IT WAS a good weekend for us and we’re happy to have got a win over Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday.

Chris Douglas played well in Saturday’s game and our loss to Manchester Phoenix on Sunday and he’ll remain as our netminder until the end of the season.

Saturday’s game will be good for morale, even though we only won on penalty shots.

After a 3-3 draw, we scored one penalty and that was enough for the win.

In Manchester on Sunday, I think it was tiredness from the previous game that went against us.

The score was 2-1 in the first half but after that we made a few mistakes and ended up going down 7-2.

Our aim for every weekend is to pick up 2 points and I’m happy that we’ve done that.

If we can do it again then I’ll be pleased again.

Hopefully we can start performing well for a full 120 minutes every weekend, and then I think we can achieve a play-off place.

Every player will play at least 60 minutes and hopefully that will keep us fresh.

We’re hosting league leaders Milton Keynes Lightning and then we visit Peterborough.
