UNFORTUNATELY we had two defeats on the weekend but it was Saturday’s loss to Sheffield Scimitars that was a real disaster.
We’re not too concerned about Sunday’s 9-2 defeat away at Guildford Flames – even though it looks worse on paper.
On Saturday, we were 3-0 up – and going on to lose 5-3 is hard to take.
That little bit of panic set in when the game started to go against us and heads went down.
We’re lacking that effort and confidence that you need to go on and get the win.
The lads need to remember that it’s not school football and they need to get their heads up .
The thing is, we can go and beat any team in this league.
We’ve been right in with a shout in 95 per cent of the games so far – we’ve just lacked that confidence to grab the win.
We’re working on getting that belief back in the players because there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be winning games.
We’ve got Manchester Phoenix at home on Saturday, who might be top of the league but they were beaten by the bottom club Romford Raiders last weekend.
That shows just how anyone can get a win against anyone in the league and our lads shouldn’t be lacking in confidence.
We’re also away to Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday.
