It would have been nice to get the points at home to Guildford on Saturday and to be honest we should have won the game.
We competed very well but lost 5-2, which may sound a lot in football but that deficit can be turned around in a couple of minutes in ice hockey.
We videoed the game and showed it to the players before the game against Romford on Sunday It's normal for us to show players videos of previous games. We have the facilities and it’s an invaluable tool.
There were lots of positives as well as negatives from Saturday's game but obviously the video had no effect on the players, or maybe it had a negative effect I don’t know.
We created enough chances on Sunday but just didn’t convert them.
The players gave up in the last few minutes and that’s how they got three quick goals. That’s unacceptable, 5-3 is bad enough but 8-3 is embarrassing.
The loss of seven games includes two ties that have gone to overtime so it looks worse on paper, but five losses and two draws still isn’t great.
We’ve just been edged out by leaders Milton Keynes and Guildford, so we're not far away, it’s just about getting the consistency and belief. There’s no secret we’ve just got to work harder and keep positive.
We need to work with what we’ve got and be more focussed because there aren’t other players we can bring in.
Wayne Fiddes, Gareth Endicott, Andrew Finn and Jan Krajicek are all back from injury now.
It was Jan’s first game at the weekend for three weeks so I’m sure he’ll be even better this weekend.
On Saturday we take on Basingstoke at home then travel to Milton Keynes on Sunday.
We’re capable of beating both sides but you never know what will happen the way we’ve been playing this season.
