We're having a good play-off run against teams with bigger budgets
AFTER Saturday's 6-1 defeat at MK Lightning the team defied everyone to come back and win 2-1 on Sunday.
It is a tough group and everyone has already beaten everyone, but that is what the play-offs are all about.
We took our chances and played with a lot of heart and desire.
We are playing against teams with more money and bigger budgets but we have got a decent team here and are having our best run in the play-offs for a while.
The players were disappointed with their run just leading up to the play-offs because we know they are better than that.
It is down to organisation, commitment, desire and belief.
We had that on Sunday. I said to them they had to believe in themselves and they proved that.
It was backs to the walls at times but we were so committed and nothing is going to change for this weekend's games against Slough.
In this group, Slough are expected to run away with it, Bracknell are defending double champions and MK Lightning were top of the table for a large part of the season.
But nobody is running away with the group, which is exactly how I felt
things were going to pan
out.
Looking at Group A, Sheffield are romping away and it looks like Guildford are going to claim the second spot.
You wouldn't be able to say that in our group because it is so tight but I'm not feeling any pressure.
This isn't the time to feel any pressure, the play-off is what ice hockey is all
about.
I am really, really calm about the whole situation and I'm really enjoying
it.
